I find this article interesting in many ways. It represents diversity in a way that is different than all the other articles I have posted. This article is talking about gun violence in the United States and how the government still has done nothing to regulate guns as a response. Students are walking out of class rooms and going to protests to speak up for themselves and for their safety. Even though gun violence is widespread across america, schools have been growing as the main venue for this violence. When will the bloodshed end? This is a question these students asked themselves as well and they are answering it for themselves also. This ends now. I find this so important and interesting because it is no longer a matter of how you identify. It is not about your skin color, religion, sexual orientation etc anymore. It is about you as a human. Everyone has been young at some point. We have all been in and out of schools at some point in our youth. Everyone can identify with this cause yet we are still considered the minority. I find it interesting because this minority group speaking up is more unified across different kinds of people than anything else. It is a tragic thing that has brought these people together but the fact that they are together is nothing short of beautiful.
